Rad Electric LLC has performed various projects at the University of Chicago.  Including work at Midway Studio's, Mandel Hall, 5757 Renovation and the Seminary Bookstore.


Rad Electric LLC performed electrical work at the converted Borders Bookstore in Hyde Park that is now a multi-purpose building, anchored by Akira clothing store. Electrical work included interior and exterior lighting, new building service and generator.


The Seminary Bookstore is a University of Chicago building.  Rad Electric LLC provided lighting, fire alarm system, some low voltage and a new ComEd panel.


Johnson Erie is a clinic located in a building shared by a Chicago Public School Child Care Center.  Rad Electric LLC work in this building included new lighting,  burglar alarm system, fire alarm system and low voltage work

Peterson School

Rad Electric LLC performed various lighting updates, including new auditorium lights, building automation for temperature controls, electronic bathroom valves and a new service for a booster pump.

University of Chicago Medicine

Center for Advanced Care at Orland Park

Rad Electric installed conduit, light fixtures and the fire alarm system for this $61 million outpatient facility, the University of Chicago Medicine’s largest off-site locations.

O’Brien Water Reclamation Plant Warehouse in Skokie

Rad Electric installed conduit, power and a fire alarm system for the Terrence J. O'Brien Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) in Skokie, Illinois. Formerly known as the North Side WRP, the plant serves more than 1.3 million people residing in a 143-square-mile area that includes Chicago, north of Fullerton Avenue and the 17 suburbs in northern Cook County. It is one of seven WRPs operated by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.

McCormick Place Hotel

Rad Electric installed power, conduit and light fixtures for this 22-story hotel, with 466 guest rooms, a 12,000 square foot Regency Ballroom and 31,500 square feet of common space for meetings, events, receptions and weddings. The grand facility is part of Chicago’s newly-branded McCormick Square entertainment district, serving the McCormick Place convention center.

By the Hands for Kids Club

This was a renovation of a school building into a community center. This was a seven million dollar project and Rad Electric performed the electrical, camera and fire alarm work for the project.

Norwegian American Hospital

This project included renovations of parts of the hospital. This included installation of new lighting, power and raceways for the fire alarm system.

City Colleges Of Chicago

These projects include boiler control work, main distributions, lighting for renovation at several City College locations.

University of Chicago Medicine

Center for Care and Discovery

Rad Electric installed conduit and lighting for this futuristic, 10-story, 1.2 million-square-foot facility. The Center for Care and Discovery is designed to accommodate current technologies, as well as the perpetual and potential changes destined to occur in patient care and clinical research. The building serves as the new core of the University of Chicago Medicine campus.
